Changemakers is a justice-focused enrichment program designed to engage elementary age students in meaningful, age-appropriate exploration of identity, community, social justice, and histories of social change. Through storytelling, project-based learning, and collaborative discussion, students will develop critical thinking skills and a sense of agency—while having fun in a safe, small-group setting. At a time when curriculum is increasingly censored and important histories are being removed from classrooms, Changemakers creates a space where students can engage with real stories of community, resistance, and change—stories that reflect the complexity of our world and affirm their identities.
Programs are designed and facilitated by Erin Green, PhD. Dr. Green is a parent, educator, curriculum designer, and university instructor with over a decade of experience in justice-centered teaching. She has previously taught elementary and middle school, and received her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on Social Studies Education, in 2025. She brings a warm, engaging approach to learning that honors students’ voices and identities while fostering critical thinking.
